Artist Statement
My work is inspired by the emotions and memories I experience while traveling. No matter where I go, I remain myself, yet the places I visit leave lasting impressions that change me. This idea of being constant yet influenced by change is at the heart of my art.
I focus on site-specific projects that explore changes happening in physical spaces around me. I often use steel, a common building material, to emphasize the connection between space and structure. Steel represents strength and permanence, yet it can be reshaped and transformed, much like human experiences. This contrast plays a central role in my work.
As an artist, not an architect, I see buildings not as lifeless structures but as living spaces that interact with people. Humans and the places they occupy exist in harmony out of necessity. Spaces gain meaning through human presence, and people shape their identities through the spaces they inhabit. My art seeks to highlight this invisible but powerful connection.
Through my work, I aim to show how people and spaces influence one another, even in the midst of constant change. This exploration reflects my personal journey of understanding existence in an ever-changing world.
